Hailing from Southern California, The Material has established themselves as one of the West Coast’s most dedicated and hard working bands building a strong fan base nationwide.

It is obvious that they have made an impact as press spots in MF Magazine have claimed that “The Material is more than up-an-coming…they’re smashing” (March 2011) and feature articles about the group have appeared in Beatweek Magazine (May 2011), Black Velvet Magazine (April 2011), and Substream Music Press (March 2011). In addition, original compositions by the band have made an imprint on TV shows like MTV Australia’s Freshwater Blue, MTV’s The Hills, and WB’s Sorority Forever.The result has been impressive as the band’s fans have voted The Material to perform live on MTV’s Dew Circuit Breakout out of a field of 4,000 other bands. Additionally, their fans have purchased over 300,000 downloads to date of their songs “Moving To Seattle” and “Stay Here Forever” on the video game ROCK BAND.
