Courtney Marie Andrews gained popularity by gigging in her home town of Phoenix Arizona when she was just fifteen years old. Local concert promoters quickly recognized her talent and booked Courtney for national opening slots for touring bands on Saddle Creek, Kill Rock Stars, Barsuk, Drag City, Sub Pop, etc. Her popularity grew and Courtney was selling out Modified Arts in Phoenix repeatedly as a headliner and has been a top 10 record seller in Phoenix next to bands like Antony and the Johnsons, Animal Collective, and Andrew Bird.

In September 2009, Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World asked Courtney to do a duet of a Wilco song with him live on stage which led to her recording backup vocals for Jimmy Eat World on 5 songs for their most recent album “Invented.” She subsequently has joined them on stage in their most recent US and European tours.
